Daniel Dooley
Founding Partner
Retired.
His legacy lives on—Dan helped shape the foundation of Dooley Lucenti LLP.
Known for his sharp legal mind and unwavering commitment to justice, Dan Dooley built a reputation as one of Barrie’s most respected litigators. As a founding partner of Dooley Lucenti LLP, Dan’s practice focused on complex commercial litigation, professional liability, and insurance defence. For over 40 years, he served clients with precision, professionalism, and a steady hand in high-stakes legal matters.
Dan was recognized by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation—a distinction that speaks to his depth of knowledge and consistent delivery of results. He also served as a Deputy Judge in Small Claims Court for two decades, bringing his insight and fairness to countless cases throughout Ontario.
A graduate of Queen’s University Law School, Dan combined academic rigor with a practical, client-first approach. His leadership helped define the values that guide Dooley Lucenti LLP to this day.
Beyond the courtroom, Dan was deeply committed to community service. Through the Knights of Columbus, he led initiatives like winter coat drives for the Children’s Aid Society, and he was a regular supporter of causes that uplifted vulnerable families across Simcoe County.
Though now retired from practice, Dan’s impact endures—in the lawyers he mentored, the firm he helped build, and the countless individuals and businesses he served with integrity.
Dan’s work was never just about law—it was always about people. And that legacy remains at the heart of our firm.

Daniel brought sharp focus, discipline, and unwavering commitment to his legal career—but if you really wanted to see his passion in full force, you’d ask him about his teams. A proud supporter of the Chicago Blackhawks, San Francisco Giants, and Green Bay Packers, Daniel cheered just as fiercely in the stands (or from his couch) as he advocated in court. His love for the law ran deep—but his loyalty to those teams? Unshakable.
