Gerald E. (“Jerry”) Norman has spent his legal career serving the Barrie community with thoughtful, practical advice in corporate law, real estate, and estate administration. A lifelong Barrie resident, Jerry is known for his steady presence, local knowledge, and commitment to doing right by his clients.
After graduating from Barrie Central Collegiate, Jerry earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology (1968) and a Bachelor of Laws (1971) from the University of Western Ontario. He began his legal practice in his hometown, where he operated as a sole practitioner for decades—focusing on real estate transactions, wills and estate planning, incorporations, and small business law.
In 2014, Jerry merged his longstanding practice with Dooley Lucenti LLP.
Throughout his career, Jerry remained an active contributor to the community, serving on the boards of the Barrie Yacht Club, Huronia Concert Orchestra, Hawkesstone Yacht Club, and Kempenfest (as Chair). He was President of the Rotary Club of Barrie (2007–2008) and still servers. Jerry also served on the Board for Cope Service Dogs.
With over five decades of experience, Jerry continues to provide trusted legal advice in business, real estate, and estate matters—backed by deep local knowledge and longstanding client relationships.
